On 17 April the USPI Management Board meeting was held at the offices of Cap Gemini in Utrecht, The Netherlands.



The meeting consisted of a Closed Part and an Open Part. At the closed part the Business Plan 2008 was endorsed by the members. At the open part of the meeting  relevant and important developments were presented.

Much attention was given to the implementation of NE100 in procurement of electrical devices between BASF eand Endress & Hauser, usage of eCl@ss by industry, the catalogue portal 2BA for electrical equipment for process industry.

Experiences were presented with practical implementation of the Elsevier knowledge management at a number of installations with a prospective view to the future and finally possible adoption by process industry of the VISI standard that has been implemented successfully in the Building & Constrution world
