Assessed company unit
It is important before the assessment session to define the "company
unit" that is assessed as many companies have corporate structures
with divisions, and geographical structures with loca-tions, countries
and regions. The scope of the unit chosen should be such that a meaningful
and useful assessment can be done.
Assessment Report
The answers to the questions are directly fed in the assessment spreadsheet
so that results will be available directly during the session. A summary
page gives a visual view of data readiness. During the session notes
are taken of all points relevant to the assessment evaluation. Results
of the evaluation and of the notes are made available to the company.
All data are fed into an industry database from which comparative data
will be visualised and made available to the company. Individual company
data will not be disclosed to others unless with permission of the company.
Company data will be used anony-mously as part of industry monitoring
and reporting. .
In depth advice and report
An in depth advice from Cap Gemini E&Y on data readiness improvement
in certain areas can be requested. In that case Cap Gemini E&Y will
work with company experts on the potential improvement areas. Results
of analysis and improvement advice are laid down in a report.
Costs
The assessment is free of charge. The company of course invests own man-hours.
An in depth data readiness improvement advice by Cap Gemini E&Y will
be charged by Cap Gemini E&Y at a rate of 1600 euro per expert per
day.
Roadmap for lifecycle data
It is important that participants to the data readiness assessment understand
the USPI-NL roadmap for lifecycle data sharing and exchange. The questions
are grouped according to the phases identified in the roadmap. Therefore
to correctly assess the data readiness of the com-pany in a particular
phase, participants must share the kind of world that is described in
the Roadmap scenario for that particular phase. Experience has shown that
participants are able to work with the roadmap scenario quickly. To align
all participants a small recap is given at the beginning of the assessment.
Request for a data
readiness assessment
Process industry companies can request for a data readiness
assessment. During the current pilot phase the assessment will be done
by a team from USPI-NL and Cap Gemini E&Y. The intention is that also
other management conaulotancies will be abvle to perform the assessment
provided assessment data are fed into the USPI-NL monitoring data bank
and that the comnmercial terms are agreed.
